About
Gogglebits cards are printed bits of nonsense designed to be handed to another human in a socially acceptable format.
Nostalgia-driven cards inspired by pop culture, old TV habits, and watching too much of it.
Why do these exist?
A fair question.
The world contains many situations that are improved by handing somebody a rectangle of card.
Birthdays. Housewarmings. Awkward apologies and unexpected triumphs. Or completely ordinary Tuesdays.
Gogglebits cards exist for those moments; what happens next is up to you.
The physical object
Each card measures 7 × 5 inches. Larger than a text, smaller than your feelings.
They're printed on sturdy 330gsm gloss-coated card stock, so they feel premium without being super chunky.
Inside, every card is blank. Partly because we respect your creativity but mostly because we don’t know what you want to say, and legally we shouldn’t be involved.
You can be heartfelt, awkward, or just write “lol” and your name.
Each card comes with a white peel-and-seal envelope, allowing you to send it through the post without first having to lick an object manufactured in a warehouse.
Alternative uses
Officially, these are greetings cards.
Unofficially, people have found many other applications:
-
Sliding under a glass to escort a spider outdoors with dignity.
-
Propping up a wobbly table leg.
-
Bookmarking a surprisingly difficult novel.
-
Concealing a small stain on a desk during video calls.
-
Creating a temporary fan during heatwaves.
-
Testing whether a pen works.
We make no guarantees regarding effectiveness. Especially with the spider.
Printed properly
All cards are printed in the UK using high-quality inks chosen for rich colours and a slightly nostalgic warmth. Think old telly, before everything became aggressively high definition.
These photos
We have a lot of cards and photographing every single one individually would require a worrying level of commitment.
The photographs on this page are examples. The size will be the same, the paper will be the same, the envelope will be the same.
The joke on the front will almost certainly be different.
In summary
A greetings card containing a combination of words and images.
The card is our contribution, the rest is between you and the recipient.
New designs are added every week because apparently this is our life now.
