🌱 GOGGLEBITS — SUSTAINABILITY

We love nonsense.
We don’t love nonsense ending up in the ocean.

That’s why every Gogglebits card is printed print-on-demand, meaning we don’t bulk order stock that sits around collecting dust or guilt. Each card is made when you order it — no warehouses full of cards no one buys. This goes a long way toward reducing production waste and landfill overflow before it begins.

🌍 HOW OUR CARDS ARE KINDA FRIENDLY

🎨 Printed with care

We use water-based and low-VOC inks that behave nicely with the planet and your skin. These inks minimise harmful chemicals without compromising colour vibrancy or paper feel.

📦 Materials matter

Our cards are made on sustainably sourced paper — meaning the wood pulp comes from forests managed to maintain biodiversity and long-term health. They contain no animal-derived ingredients (so yes, they’re vegan-friendly) and are fully recyclable after use.

đźšš Shorter journeys, smaller footprint

We partner with a global network of printers so your card can be produced close to its destination. That cuts down on long transport routes and shrinks the carbon cost of getting your nonsense to someone else’s doormat.

📦 Packaging (plastic where unavoidable)

Wherever possible, we avoid unnecessary plastics — including ditching shrink wrap — and prioritise recyclable or biodegradable packaging. If we do use a bit of plastic, it’s chosen to be recyclable so it doesn’t turn into microregret later.

🤝 WHY THIS MATTERS

Sure, we make cards inspired by telly and nonsense, but we also want:

Size

7 Ă— 5 inches. Larger than a text, smaller than your feelings.

Roughly the same size as a small paperback you swear you’ll read, or a nice photo frame you got that still contains the stock picture.

Paper

Printed on 330gsm UV gloss-coated card stock. That means they’re sturdy without being super chunky, and smooth rather than rough or chalky. The gloss finish makes the colours look rich and lively, especially in daylight.

It’s the kind of card that feels reassuringly solid in your hand. Like the ones your parents kept on the fridge for years, only with marginally better jokes.

Finish

Gloss coated, because your eyes deserve a bit of shine.

The coating keeps colours bright and text crisp, and gives the whole thing that classic “proper greeting card” look. It’s polished without being fancy, and yes, you can still write on it without it feeling like writing on a whiteboard.

Inside

Blank.

Because we don’t know what you want to say, and legally we shouldn’t be involved. You can be heartfelt, awkward, or just write “lol” and your name.

Envelope

Each card comes with a white peel-and-seal envelope. Clean, crisp, and requiring approximately zero licking.
